The overall program will explore the value of adaptive assessment and instruction, will

demonstrate several exceptional assessment and instructional programs, and will

show how these programs save time, provide more accurate placement and diagnosis, tailor

instruction to each student’s specific needs, preserve students’ self-concepts, and result in superior

achievement. Ways of supporting teachers in their use of adaptive technology will also be

discussed
